Hey hashers! Another thing we forgot to mention…
It’s a worldwide tradition for Red Dress hashes to raise money for a worthwhile charitable organization. Last year we collected money for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. This year we’re raising money for PALS, People and Animal Learning Services, a Bloomington nonprofit that provides therapeutic horse riding lessons and services for kids and adults from all over the region.
We don’t make fundraising part of the hash fee because we want to keep Red Dress as affordable as possible for everybody. But we will have a receptacle to collect cash for PALS if you want to give. Ten dollars, five dollars, even if all you have is $1, whatever you give will go to a great cause, so bring a little extra cash to Red Dress if you can. On on.
