Wapehani Adopt-a-Trail

Adopt-a-Trail at Wapehani

Usually we give birth to trails only to abandon them to be washed away in the rain. This trail we are adopting and we will nurture and care for it this entire year. They can run on their own after a year, right?

OK, here’s the deal. We will:

  • walk, ride, and/or hash on the Wapehani trails at least once a month
  • remove trash and shiggy from the trail
  • report unusual or suspicious non-hash related events on the trail
  • submit monthly reports to Bloomington Parks and Recreation
  • take revenge on the shiggy by removing invasive species from the park (Die Multiflora!)
  • have several scheduled work days to build trail and perform maintenance.

Wankers will receive training and instruction on proper trail maintenance techniques. All necessary tools and equipment will be provided. The only requirement is to have a genuine concern for the well-being of our natural resources. Horrors above the age of 12 are welcome to help.

Check back here early and often for schedule updates!
