Erin go bragh hashers!
We have a hash this Saturday, March 22, starting at 4 pm (THAT'S 4:00 P.M., WANKERS, 'CAUSE WE'RE ON DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME NOW) from beside beautiful Cherry Lake in Morgan-Monroe State Forest. The hares are none other than esteemed BFH3 alumna emerita Kotex and ProBoner, and the cost is a mere $5, unless you're a virgin, in which case it's free (but we'll be gentle). Following the hash is the ever popular and pointless Easter Keg Hunt, in which hashers can relive the happy Easter mornings of their youth by knocking the bejesus out of other hashers in search of goodies (beer).
Here's a link to a crappy map of Morgan-Monroe State Forest: http://www.geocities.com/k9sql/mmsfhtm.html. To get to the start: From Martinsville and points north, take 37 about five or 10 miles south of Martinsville and look for the sign to Morgan-Monroe State Forest.
From Bloomington, take Walnut north to the first stoplight past the bypass and turn right onto Old State Road 37. Go north about eight miles. The forest entrance will be on your right.
Once you reach the forest entrance, drive about eight miles (?) and take the first real left turn off the forest road. (You'll pass the low stone wall to Stepp Cemetery on the left, and a shelter and swingset on the right, and Beanblossom Road off to the right...but the first real left turn is what you want. In fact, I think there's a sign that points to Cherry Lake at that left turn. If you reach the Park Headquarters, or a campground, you've gone too far.) Park in the spots beside beautiful scenic Cherry Lake, get out and hash.
ON ON!
