The Hills Are Alive

The hills are alive…with the sounds of hashers drinking beer. Julie Andrews has nothing on the BFH3!

Where? We’ll start from the beautiful northern shore of Yellowwood Lake in Brown County.
When? 3:00 pm sharp, and after that I start bitching.
Why? There’ll be beer. And the beautiful landscape of Brown County in the fall. And cookies. But mostly, there’ll be beer.
Who? You. Your hares will be White Lightning, Bibliosex, and Mother Shucker.
What? There may be elevation changes on trail, so be warned. And thorns. And rabid animals. And emerald ash borers. And angry hunters with bows and arrows chasing deer (it’s deer archery season). And we’ll try to find a snake for SlapShot, but we can’t guarantee anything.

To get there from Bloomington, go out Third Street until it becomes 46 to Nashville. From the light at 46 and 446, go 9.4 miles and turn left onto Yellowwood Road (there’ll be a sign). (If you follow Google Maps and decide to take Jackson Creek Road to get there, we’re not waiting for you.) Take Yellowwood Road 1.2 miles, and turn left after the bridge. Then at the sign pointing different directions, turn right toward the boat ramp. Go 1.6 miles (past the boat ramp and the forest office) and look for the hashers parking on the left. Park, drink, hash. Directions
